The petting zoo portion of the exhibit is a big attraction for both young and old. Here they can feed and even pet dwarf goats (upper left image) and deer, behind the fences.

The adult male baboons know how to catch peanuts and constantly amaze people with their skill.

Zoo owner Mark Killman is shown here feeding Jeana, a two year old female black bear (bottom left hand corner). Jeana was hand raised by a zoo owner in Alberta and has been trained to respond to various commands. Mark has hand raised many great cats, but retains a very healthy respect for all large predators. To date the bear has shown no indication of any aggressive or hostile intentions.
